The Agony of the Cross by
Roger Williams, 1999
He looked around and they were gone, where were they that had followed so long? As
He turned to see, He saw Peter, in the shadows dim, and he heard him say with a shout, "No, no, I don't know Him!"
With the dawning of day, by the morning light, the rooster crowed, only foes in sight. Now He knew what the
Father meant, when He said "My will". This is the time prophets had wrought, his whole life now still. The pain
is great, the lashes deep, bones exposed with agony, blood running down, visions blurred, can hardly see.
Father,
if this is what, that I must do, then give me strength and will from you.
A purple robe, a crown of thorns, how
much more, a man of scorn. Muscles hurt, feet swollen, so tired with pain, the weight on my shoulders so heavy
now, can't go on... is this insane?
Abba Father, hear my cry, give me strength to stand the test, a long long
way before I rest. The nails, they pierce, agony and hurt, Father help me now! Take this pain that I must bear, and
glorify Your name. Take my life for sacrifice, and let Your grace abound. Into Thy hands, I give myself to thee,
my Abba Father.
Love in purest form, now at last, is found.

garden verses 36-39 and then Matthew 27:46

A Journey by Roger Williams, 1998
I remember the look in
his eyes that day, the day I ask for all that was mine. For in my heart I could not stay, I just knew.......it
was my time. And he gave it to me with a look that said, Please child don't do this, for he knew what lay ahead.
Heartbroken and sad, he gave me my part, and said go, if go you must, But always remember you'll be in my heart.
I thought the world would always be mine, and lavish me with joy and fill me with wine. To have the thrills of
life itself, was all that I wanted, so I thought to myself. But then came the end, when pleasure stopped. Now
the moneys gone and no friends in sight, nothing left but horror and blight. Then I remembered my father back home,
What if I went home! Yes, I will go, and what will I say when we stand alone? "Please father,
let me return a servant to be, for a pittance of food, I will... you see."
Oh! I see him in the distance, excited, he seems, Surely he can't be happy, with my shattered
dreams.
But he's running towards me,
laughing and crying I see. But wait! What is this? A robe! A ring! My father still loves me!
Angels in Heaven begin to sing! His arms slip 'round me, and I hear him say, Welcome home my child, so
long I've waited , for this very day!

The Christian's Prayer by Roger Williams, 1999 Our Precious Heavenly Father, we give you Praise
and thank you for the gift of your son, Jesus Christ. It is through Christ that we can be a part of
Your family. We ask that you remember no more our sins of pride where we wanted to be loved more than
to love. Help us to remember those that are in need and allow us to remember them before ourselves.
We thank you for forgiveness of our sins and giving us strength to be free from sin in our lives,
so that we can forgive others. Free us from inhibitions that would hinder our service to You, Father.
The fear of suffering, loss or neglect from friends. Help us to forgive others and feel
the hurts and sufferings in their lives, and to be generous with our love and gifts to others, for if
we love others we then give You love, who loved us first. It is through your love that we ask that
you Give us patience, joy and longsuffering in the name of Jesus I pray, Amen

The Embers of Life by Roger Williams, 1999
I sometimes ponder
why my Lord, must we not see your way? The way of truth and joy for us, is simply to obey. It's very plain
for us to see, that all our worth is not in us, and all we ever hope to be is found in simple trust. I see
the fire, I feel the warmth, as embers burn so bright, but ebb of time passes by, and slowly lose their light.
Lord, let us see that add we must, the Word of Life each day, To keep the flames aglow for sure, and in Your
will we'll stay. 2 Tim 2:15

Love Lifted Me
"He was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out,
'Lord, save me!' Immediately Jesus stretched forth His hand and caught him......... Matthew 14:30-31
There's
not a doubt in my mind that God loves me, and His grace is all sufficient, for all eternity. And I know that He Loves
me, because I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise
no more, Then the Master of the sea heard my despairing cry, from the waters lifted me, now safe am I!
God
is good, with magnificent Grace. Peace and love-- in your life He'll place. He loves and keeps us, when we pray, if
we submit, to His loving way. You can search and search but you'll never find, a friend so loving and so kind. He
will lift you, in your despair, so place yourself in His loving care. As He calls out your name and you hear Him say,
"Please accept Me, there's no other way". Accept His love and you will see, that you too can sing, Love Lifted
Me!
Song "Love Lifted Me" by James Rowe and Howard Smith, 1912 and poem added by Roger Williams, 1998

Why God Is Good All The Time by Roger Williams, 1999
Sometimes
I wonder how it could be, that God is oh so good to me, Then I think of what He gave on that old rugged tree.
I
now can thank Him for His grace, which means that I am free, I was blind for most of life, but now through Him I see.
He walks with me and talks with me as each day I go through, He brought me from the place I was, and gave me life
anew.
His spirit takes me where I go, never sure where paths may lead, But I'll follow Him where'er He goes, His
will for me I plead.
My life is full and filled with joy, since Jesus made me whole, I long to tell of His love
for me, and how He saved my soul.
I now can say that I am His and He is mine, and that is why, God is good, All
the Time!
Have a good day....in Christ

A Little Bitty Man Was He by Roger Williams, 2000
Who is this man, they call Jesus you see?
I hear his name from far and near, I wonder who he could be?
They say He's coming, to Jerusalem today, what
kind of feeling is this! That makes me feel this way?
I want to see who this man is, but with crowds like
this, no way for me. Oh! Look, Here he comes and I can't see, Oh I want to see Him! Maybe, Yes, I'll climb this
sycamore tree!
He's walking below and now I see His face, He's looking up at me! Oh those eyes, my heart begins
to race!
You want me? What do you want of me? My house? Tonight? Yes, Lord, you are welcome in my home, let
me follow in your light.
I feel the power of your love, it convicts me of my sin, For those I've wronged,
I'll gladly pay, not once, but four times amend.
Life for me is different now, I'll never be the same, It
matters not my riches gone, my heart is now aflame!
I wonder where I would be, if never I had climbed,
that sycamore tree?
Have you found your sycamore tree yet?
