The Way It Is

Life as We Know It Mood:
chillin'
Life as we know it could very well be changing.
America has enjoyed a life that has continued to improve over these past 230 years. But like all great societies, with
the way things are going now there is a good chance of seeing it tumble down. God
was a great part of the founding of this country. Many men fought to have a country where God was considered supreme
in the lives of those who would settle this country and get to a place of religi0us freedom away from political control and
structure of a state controlled religion. But with the decline of religious influence and the moral decline of the nation,
God may very well have reached a time that judgment has to come to a great nation. It would be foolish to
think that God would never judge this nation. When one reads the travails of the Israelite people and how God
would judge them when they fell away it should bring truth to the fact that God does have judgement available to those that
refuse His commands.
This nation has always had a distinct place for God and a reverence for His name in the formadable
years of this great nation. But that is no longer the norm. Little by little, decade after decade, the masses
have very slowly and very diliberately changed the way we think, the way we do and the way we treat others in respect to what
God's word has always taught us in the past. We have seen moral standards slowly decay in every aspect of our
lives. When you see the degradation and the attitude of individuals towards decent living fall away, then sooner or
later there has to be a price to pay. No one individual, nor any nation, nor any government has ever,
or will ever be able to mock God the way this country has done without receiving His judgment.
The Bible gives us example after example of God's wrath when His word is brought to shame.
There is always a price to pay and there will be one to pay for us. For many years we have heard great men of God give
us warning after warning that God's judgment will come, if we do not repent. Jeremiah of old did the same.
The weeping prophet cried over the way God's people failed at his warning. But God's judgment did come. The chosen
people of God went through many trials and tribulations, when they failed to follow His commands. Why should this nation
be any different? What makes us any better? We have "In God We Trust" on our money. Since when do we trust
in Him any longer? We sing God Bless America. Why should He? With sinful living every where in the nation,
on television, in Hollywood, in every town and city, where anything goes and anything is allowed. When one looks at
todays society, it looks like Sodom and Gomorrah. Billy Graham once said that if God doesn't judge America, He would
have to apologive to Sodom and Gomorrah. What a chilling thought.
It's time for America to wake up if its not too late even now. God still loves people.
I just hope and pray that He still loves us.

Life as We Know it Now Mood: blue
America has to face a new time like we have never had
to face before. Many questions lay ahead. Questions that will be answered in time. There are no certainties
as in the past. Only unanswered questions because there is no background to give us truth from the past so we could
know. Always in the past we had track records that would hint at what we could expect, but not so today. Today
all we know is, we dont know because there is no past to speak of to rely on. This is a new day for this country.
It's uncharted waters. It's like a ship that just happens to be in the middle of the ocean and never had a port.
A ship that will surely make waves, but it's just not sure where.
These are the times that try men's souls. A
very famous statement from the past, but so relevant for today. What lies ahead? I wish I knew. I do know
how history has told us that there are truly serious consequences to sinful living. Israel went through decades of turning
to God and then turning away from God and had a heavy price to pay each time they fell into sin. There have been great
nations and empires over time that have come and gone and in the end, it was sinful lifestyle and turning to wild living that
brought about destruction in the end. Will that be true for America? Time will tell. But as stated
before, God will not be mocked.
What will the next four years hold for America? No one truly knows. We
can speculate. We can have different opinions about what is right and wrong. We can guess at what we think
might or might not happen. But remember, it matters not what we think or do, nor does it matter what the leaders think
or do, but ultimately all will answer to the God that created us all. My prayer is that no matter what happens in this
great land, I pray that God in His mercy can still find a handful of faithful servants that will hold back the judgment that
is sure to come some day. I just pray it's not today.

A New Time For America Mood:
blue Topic: What we can expect
Only time will tell what America is in for in the future. There are many doubts as to what lies ahead.
Many are sketical about how the government will look in a few years. Some are thinking that we may be headed for socialism
with all the changes that seem to be in the offing. But only time will tell. The economical situation is dim for
the country right now. I dont think it has been this dire since the great depression. Unemployment is getting
worse by the day. The housing slump seems to have started the problem, but what caused that was ill gotten
loans that allowed people to get loans that were way over their head for homes that they couldnt afford that really caused
the collapse of the housing sales.
The other obvious problem seems to be simply that folks just quit spending. They want to hold on to
as much as they can and when folks stop spending, the economy begins to come to a halt. Our system works as long
as the money is flowing. It takes demand for services and products from the people for then a production of parts and
things to happen, including needed services to continue for the economy to thrive. That isn't happening. And with
the new leadership now in control, there may or may not be a chance for a new beginning to start.
This is the time that people really need to come together and not let panic set in that could cause things
to get worse than they are. It's the time for Christian folks to begin to really rely on their faith in God to show
them what they need to do. It all begins with an individual, and then families, then groups of all of us to stand firm
on truth. Truth can win out if we desire truth for one and all.
Where will it end? How will it end? Let's just wait, and pray that good common sense will overcome
everything before it's too late for the sake of our country. Like I said earlier, only time will tell.

The Country Sees Changes Mood:
not sureIts Memorial Day weekend. Things are not a lot better than they were this past
spring. The automobile industry is hurting bad right now. Chrysler has had to realign all of its debt, close many
dealerships and is still hurting but hanging on. GM is close to bankruptcy with more loans from the goverment hoping
for the best. GM is also close over a 1000 dealerships across the country. They say signs are showing a very slow
improvement in the economy. Only time will tell what God is going to do in this country. The mood in parts
of the country seem to be against any spiritual thinking. As always there is an element that will
always be anti-God, but it seems to be worse now. But God is and always will be ultimately in charge. We
just have to wait and see what He is going to allow. I think what He will allow has a limit, even in America.
With all the laxing of morals as we have seen over the past 50 years, it makes one wonder how much patience
God has. As I have said many times before. Time will tell.
